On the belt. The water acts as a temporary lubricant and will stop the noise for a few seconds.

    High Pitched Squeal Help!

This is the typical sound that a worn out alternator or serpentine belt makes. Spray water on it as the noise is occurring and if the noise stops, bingo.

Just bought a 92 corolla dx

A restoration would entail entirely dismantling the car, replacing any parts that aren't up to snuff, re-assembling the car and then repainting it. I sure hope it doesn't need that much work.:) What repair work does it need?

2006 - Starter Problem and Check Engine Light

Did you have the alternator tested? The alternator is supposed to recharge the battery and if it doesn't the battery will fall on its face. Then when a new battery is installed, it too will eventually not have enough power to start the engine. If the alternator is malfunctioning, the battery...

    Squeaking and Cracking Noises

This will be covered under warranty. Just take it back to the Toyota dealer and tell them to fix it, before it gets worse and they claim it's because of your neglect in getting it repaired that it became worse. There'd be truth in that.
