Welcome to the forum! I got a '14 Corolla after my '13 "died" in an accident. Would have probably kept the '13 for several years. Plan on keeping my new one for several years.

What is astounding is that people still buy this garbage about "man made global warming....not wait, cooling....not wait, scratch that, warming....oh wait, new study, it's cooling....oh, counter point at a conference, now it's warming....oh wait, new YouTube video, cooling...."

Well, there's no harm it in. I wouldn't say this is a case of "if it ain't broke don't fix it." More along the lines of "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure." 'Cept in this case, it's four quarts of prevention :)

(a) there's probably some law in some state that makes it illegal [what they don't know can't hurt you] but (b) if it's an obvious malfunction, you can see clearly in both directions, and there's no train coming....I'd cross the tracks. Have done this before.
