Dyno proven gains were had from removing the snorkel on the sonic. Minimal gains... but free.

Square goes into air box. Flat end draws the air from the engine bay. No need for all that length and curve when it just loops up to nearly the exact same spot it come out of the air box from.

I don't know if I'm the first to do this but after my last car 2012 sonic 1.4l turbo tuned @ 23lbs on e85 and 42lbers... I was wanting to do an intake. I got lazy and said I wouldnt do any custom work because i wanted to keep the car as clean as possible because I dont want to massively tune it...

Any proof in mpg increase from a k&n or injen intake? Also any word on decreased engine life from less filtration from said filter?

Thanks everybody! I started peeling and there were no clips... they actually peeled right off leaving no residue. Just some dirt. Makes me even more glad I removed them, longevity couldn't of been long with these.

Yah I think it would look slicker without them. Just didn't wanna peel them off if they had clip holes.
