i have known some cars that where tuned also incorrectly to do this. although it doesnt alawys happen at highspeeds, I have had it in low speed range before but only ever had slow speed range vibrations form autos
right i havent read through the whole lot yet ned a coffee before i read this much hehe. but steering vibration at that speed usually means you need a new steering rack, clicking when turng is usually cv joints

The main thing you have to think about is the fact that your car weighs maybe like 1600 pounds or there abouts so it would be like towing the same car behind you or there abouts :)
I have similar corolla from factory specs it is advised not to tow more then 650kgs or 1300 pounds . but then again it depends on what engine you have there is quite alot of variations to the 1.6 corolla engine.
